Sir Tom Jones slotact op zondag!
Tom Jones, De Kreuners, Peter Koelewijn & The Rockets and Mathias Vergels are the first acts of Sunday 2 August.
The performance of Sir Tom Jones will be the apotheosis of Suikerrock 2020. The living legend will have celebrated his 80th birthday at that moment (eat your heart out Mick Jagger!), and will close the festival in style on Sunday 2 august. Bringing his classics ‘It’s Not Unusual’, ‘Kiss’, ‘Delilah’, ‘What’s New Pussycat’, ‘I’ll Never Fall In Love Again’ and ‘Sex Bomb’ it’s gonna be a worthy goodbye!
One of the bands at the first edition of Suikerrock in 1987 so they had to be on the line-up of the Farewell Edition: “De Kreuners”! Walter, Axl, Erik and of course Ben Crabbé who was born and raised in Tienen, will bring one last time their greatest hits on the Main Stage.
Peter Koelewijn & The Rockets is a Dutch band. 60 years ago, they introduced “Kom van dat dak af”, which became their greatest hit , still known by everyone in The Netherlands and Flanders!
On Sunday, we start off with a young flemish actor and artist: Mathias Vergels. Last year, he won the prize for the best solo artist of Radio 2. With his debut album, he’s proving himself as one of the best Flemish pop artists.
